Taittinger
Comtes Rosé 1996 Champagne

Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Rosé
1996 is made of 70% Pinot Noir (100% grands crus), part
of which (13%) is red wine, and comes from the vineyards
of Bouzy. 30% Chardonnay grapes from the vineyards of
the Côte des Blancs (100% grands crus) complete
this blend, giving it finesse and freshness.
Only first pressing wines are used.
Storage for 5 years in the cellars has refined the fruity
aromas of this vintage and softened its generous acidity.
TASTING
It has an amber-rose colour. The bubbles are fine and
abundant and form a luxuriant mousse.
The intense and very rich bouquet has very sweet and
fruity aromas of quince, redcurrant and morello cherry.
In the mouth, the wine is first lively and acidulous,
then its structure, strength and vinosity come fully
to the fore with fruity flavours of cherries in brandy.
The finale is powerful and persistent.
In summary, Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Rosé
Vintage 1996 is an open, generous and ample wine and
has a very varied aromatic register.
